Making Spa Milk Water and Adding Water-Soluble Ingredients
คำถาม
I would like to know how to make "milk water" for spa use, which is an oil-based product that turns milky when mixed with water. Specifically, how can I incorporate water-soluble ingredients, such as Niacinamide, into this oil-based mixture while keeping the product clear before it is diluted with water?

Making Spa "Mineral Water" and "Milk Water"
Regarding the "mineral water" used in spas, we are not familiar with the specific type you are referring to, so we cannot provide guidance on how to make it or what base might be used.
For the "milk water," which is an oil-based product that turns milky when mixed with water, you can make it using one of two bases:
- Using Oil Soap™: Mix Oil Soap™ with natural oil (or any other oil) at a ratio of approximately 20-30% Oil Soap™ and the rest as oil. This base provides good foam.
- Using Oil Milk™ (Laureth-4): Mix Oil Milk™ with natural oil (or any other oil) at a ratio of approximately 15-30% Oil Milk™ and the rest as oil. This base produces less foam compared to Oil Soap™.
Both Oil Soap™ and Oil Milk™ will cause the oil mixture to turn white and milky when it comes into contact with water.
If you want to add water-soluble ingredients like Niacinamide to this oil-based mixture, directly adding water to dissolve them is not possible if you want the product to remain clear before mixing with water, as water will cause it to turn milky immediately. One way to incorporate water-soluble ingredients while keeping the oil mixture clear is to dissolve them in alcohol first, and then add this alcoholic solution to the oil base. This should prevent the mixture from turning milky until it is diluted with water during use.
