Question
Hello,
Is it possible to mix:
Tocotrienols2%Stabilized Vitamin C (Natural-C Glycol™) Serum98%
to create a Vitamin C & E formula that is not oily? When I used the Vitamin C E Ferulic formula, my skin felt very oily.

Answer
Mixing Tocotrienols and Stabilized Vitamin C (Natural-C Glycol™) Serum
Regarding your question about mixing Tocotrienols with Stabilized Vitamin C (Natural-C Glycol™) Serum to create a non-oily Vitamin C & E formula:
- Compatibility: Tocotrienols is an oil-soluble ingredient, while Stabilized Vitamin C (Natural-C Glycol™) Serum is a water-soluble liquid base. Simply mixing an oil into a water-based serum like this is generally not compatible and will likely result in separation or an unstable mixture.
- Product Recommendation: The description for Stabilized Vitamin C (Natural-C Glycol™) Serum states that it is designed as a ready-to-use product base and is not suitable for mixing additional ingredients (other than small amounts of fragrance or color) as it can affect the stability of the Vitamin C. The company cannot guarantee stability if other ingredients are added.
- Oily Feeling: The Vitamin C E Ferulic formula you mentioned contains oil-soluble components (like Vitamin E and potentially the base used to incorporate Ferulic Acid and stabilize L-Ascorbic Acid), which is likely why it felt oily on your skin.
Therefore, directly mixing Tocotrienols into the Stabilized Vitamin C (Natural-C Glycol™) Serum base is not recommended due to both compatibility issues and the specific instructions regarding the Natural-C Glycol™ Serum's stability.
