Question
Based on the information that the Stabilized Vitamin C product cannot be modified except for fragrance and color, and the pH does not meet FDA requirements, what is the company's recommendation? Additionally, the current liquid texture is inconvenient for application compared to gel or serum. Is it possible to adjust the texture?
Answer
Based on the R&D team's advice regarding modifying the stabilized vitamin C product for FDA submission and texture adjustment:
- For FDA Compliance:
- You can adjust the pH by adding a mild alkali to reach approximately 3.5.
- Adding color and fragrance is permissible.
- You can request the necessary documents for FDA submission from customer service at care@myskinrecipes.com.
- For Texture Adjustment:
- To increase the viscosity and achieve a gel or serum-like texture, you can add AnyGel at a concentration of 0.1-0.2%.
- If you require a thicker consistency, you can increase the proportion of AnyGel.
