Odor Neutralizer for Salmon DNA Serum

For a Salmon DNA (PDRN) serum formula, which can sometimes have a characteristic natural scent, you have a few options depending on whether you strictly need a liquid or the most effective ingredient-odor neutralizer.

Recommended Options

1. DeoMax™ Liquid (Best Liquid Form)
   This is a liquid odor absorber derived from fruit tannins. It is highly effective at neutralizing various odors and is completely water-soluble, making it very easy to mix into a serum.

   • Usage Rate: 1% – 3%
   • For 30 ml Serum: Add 0.3 ml to 0.9 ml.

2. Odor-Kill™ (Best for Ingredient Odors - Powder)
   Although this is a powder, it is specifically designed to absorb the smell of chemical ingredients or natural extracts in a formula. It is easily soluble in water, so it will turn into a clear liquid once mixed into your serum base.

   • Usage Rate: 0.3% – 1% (Recommended 0.5%)
   • For 30 ml Serum: Add 0.09 g to 0.3 g (approx. 0.15 g for the recommended dose).

3. Odor-Kill DO™ (Liquid Preservative/Deodorant)
   This is a liquid form, but it primarily functions as a preservative that also helps control odor-causing bacteria. It is more commonly used for body odor (deodorants) rather than neutralizing the smell of ingredients like Salmon DNA.

   • Usage Rate: 0.1% – 1%
   • For 30 ml Serum: Add 0.03 ml to 0.3 ml.

Recommendation for Salmon DNA Serum

If your goal is to neutralize the "fishy" or natural scent of the Salmon DNA Solution, Odor-Kill™ (Powder) is technically the most effective for "ingredient odors," and since it dissolves instantly in water, it behaves like a liquid in the final formula. However, if you prefer a ready-to-use liquid, DeoMax™ Liquid at 1% is an excellent choice.

Mixing Instructions:

• Step: Add the deodorizer in the final step of your serum formulation.
• Temperature: Ensure the serum is below 50°C before adding to preserve the efficacy of both the Salmon DNA and the odor absorber.
• Caution: If your serum contains perfume, these ingredients will also absorb the fragrance. It is best used in fragrance-free formulas.
