Answer

Oil Base for Dab-On Perfume

To make a dab-on oil perfume, you will need a suitable base oil to mix with your fragrance oil.

Mineral oil is a common and effective base for oil perfumes. It is stable, doesn't easily go rancid, and provides a smooth application.

We have several types of Mineral Oil available with different viscosities:

  • Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum) Very Light (5cst)
  • Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum) Very Light (15cst)
  • Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum) Light (26cst)
  • Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum) Medium (32cst)
  • Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum) Heavy (68cst)

You can choose any of these depending on your preferred feel and spreadability. Lighter viscosities might be easier to dab on and spread.

Mix your chosen fragrance oil into the mineral oil base at the desired concentration.
