Question
How to formulate perfume using 12H Fix™ (Fragrance Fixative) and DEB alcohol to achieve long-lasting scent, as a simple mix of perfume oil and DEB at 40/60 ratio did not last?
Answer
Recommended Perfume Formula with 12H Fix™
This formula uses 5% 12H Fix™, which is a typical usage rate for perfume sprays, and includes LipidSoft™ Lite to help dissolve the fixative.
- 12H Fix™: 5%
- LipidSoft™ Lite: 10%
- Perfume Oil: 34%
- DEB (Alcohol): 51%
- Total: 100%
Mixing Instructions
- In a heat-resistant container, combine the 12H Fix™, LipidSoft™ Lite, and your Perfume Oil.
- Gently heat this mixture to 60-70°C while stirring continuously until the 12H Fix™ is completely dissolved. Ensure there are no solid particles remaining.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool down slightly.
- Once it has cooled, add the DEB (Alcohol) and stir thoroughly until all components are uniformly mixed.
This method ensures the 12H Fix™ is properly dissolved and dispersed throughout your perfume, which will help improve its longevity significantly compared to just mixing perfume oil and alcohol.
