Question
I am formulating a cream and would like to know if Pitera (Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate) is oil-soluble or water-soluble. Also, my cream formulation separated after mixing. Can you advise on troubleshooting this issue?
Answer
Pitera (Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate) is water-soluble, not oil-based. It should be mixed into the water phase of your formulation. Separation in a cream formula containing oil and water can occur if the emulsification process is not done correctly, or if the ratio of ingredients is off.
We're glad to hear you had a good experience using Pitera directly on your skin!
To help troubleshoot the separation issue in your cream formula, please provide the full list of ingredients and the steps you followed when mixing.
