Preservation and Antioxidant for Lipstick Formula

For your lipstick formula containing essential oils, oils, water, and glycerin:

• Rosemary Oleoresin Extract (ROE) is an excellent antioxidant suitable for the oil phase. It helps prevent the oils and essential oils from going rancid (oxidizing).
• Mild Preserved Eco™ (Ethylhexylglycerin + Caprylyl Glycol) is a broad-spectrum preservative effective against bacteria, yeast, and mold. It is suitable for the water and glycerin phase of your formula.

Using both ROE and Mild Preserved Eco™ together is a suitable approach for a formula that contains both oil and water components like yours. The ROE will protect the oil phase from oxidation, while the Mild Preserved Eco™ will protect the water phase from microbial contamination, ensuring the stability and safety of your lipstick.
