Serum and Cream Recommendations for Oily Skin, Pores, and Uneven Texture

Question

Hello,

I would like to order production from the Recipe Hub.

My skin is quite oily, with slightly wide pores on my cheeks. I have a few pimples near my eyes. One side of my cheek feels a bit uneven, but without acne.

I am currently using and like the Stabilized Vitamin C Serum.

I would like to order other products as well.

For serums, I am considering Care & White Serum by kritpecharat and Oil Control Serum. Which one would help reduce facial oiliness (without drying), tighten pores, promote healthy skin, and be suitable for long-term use?

For moisturizing creams, I am considering Activated skincare by polly and Resveratrol Gel. Which one would be more suitable for my skin type?

Answer

Serum Recommendations

You are currently using and like the Stabilized Vitamin C Serum. This serum is excellent for brightening, antioxidant protection, stimulating collagen, and can help with acne scars, which aligns well with improving skin texture and overall health.

Considering your oily skin, slightly enlarged pores, and uneven texture, let's look at the other serum options you mentioned:

  • Oil Control Serum: While there isn't a specific product named "Oil Control Serum" in the search results, formulations targeting oil control often contain ingredients that help regulate sebum production and minimize the appearance of pores. These types of serums can be beneficial for reducing shine and improving skin texture without necessarily causing dryness if formulated correctly. Look for serums with ingredients known for oil absorption or sebum regulation.
  • Care & White Serum by kritpecharat: A "Care & White" serum typically focuses on overall skin health and brightening. Depending on the specific ingredients, it could offer benefits like improving skin tone, reducing redness, and providing hydration. If it contains ingredients that also support skin barrier function, it could contribute to healthier, more resilient skin for long-term use.

Which serum to choose?

Since you are happy with the Stabilized Vitamin C Serum, you could continue using it for its brightening and collagen-boosting benefits. To address your oiliness and pores, you might consider adding an Oil Control Serum to your routine, perhaps using it in areas where you experience the most oiliness and enlarged pores. Alternatively, a well-formulated Care & White Serum that includes ingredients for both brightening and skin balance could be a good all-around option. It depends on whether your priority is targeted oil control or a more general approach to improving skin health and tone.

Cream Recommendations

You are considering Activated skincare by polly and Resveratrol Gel for your cream.

  • Activated skincare: Based on the search, a product containing Actin AC could be relevant. Actin AC is a multi-functional ingredient that helps regulate sebum, reduce inflammation, minimize post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, improve follicular keratinization (which can help with pores), and has antibacterial properties. This aligns well with your concerns about oily skin, occasional acne, and uneven texture. A cream with Actin AC could help control oil, reduce breakouts, and improve the overall appearance and texture of your skin.
  • Resveratrol Gel: Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant with anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and brightening properties. It can help improve skin firmness and smoothness and may also assist with acne control. A gel formulation is generally lighter than a cream, which can be preferable for oily skin as it is less likely to feel heavy or clog pores. Using Resveratrol in a gel format could provide antioxidant benefits and help with skin texture and tone without adding excess oil.

Which cream to choose?

For your skin type with oiliness, enlarged pores, and occasional acne, a product containing Actin AC seems particularly well-suited due to its targeted action on sebum regulation and acne-related issues. If your primary focus is antioxidant protection, anti-aging, and a lighter texture, a Resveratrol Gel would also be a good choice. Both could contribute to healthier skin in the long term. You might consider which set of benefits (more targeted oil/acne control with Actin AC vs. broader antioxidant/anti-aging with Resveratrol) is a higher priority for you.

In summary, you could continue with your Stabilized Vitamin C Serum and add either an Oil Control Serum or a comprehensive Care & White Serum. For your cream, both a product with Actin AC or a Resveratrol Gel could be beneficial, with Actin AC offering more direct support for oil and acne concerns.
