Formula and Mixing Instructions for Melasma and Freckles

• Disodium EDTA: 0.2%
• ActiveProtec™ OX: 0.5%
• Mild Preserved Eco (Preservative): 1.0%
• Xanthan Gum (Gelling Agent): 1.5%

Mixing Instructions

1. Prepare the Water Phase: In a clean container, disperse Xanthan Gum in the water and stir well until a gel forms without lumps.
2. Add Stabilizers and Actives: Add Disodium EDTA and ActiveProtec OX to the gelled water phase and stir to dissolve. Then, add NanoRes™, Tranexamic Acid, MelaninTerminate™, and AEPWhite™. Stir gently until all ingredients are fully dispersed and dissolved. Avoid using high heat during this step.
3. Add Preservative: Add Mild Preserved Eco to the mixture and stir to combine thoroughly.
4. Check and Adjust pH: Measure the pH of the serum. The ideal pH range for the actives in this formula is generally between 4-5. If necessary, adjust the pH using a suitable acid (like Citric Acid) or base (like Triethanolamine). Be cautious with pH adjustment to maintain the stability of the ingredients.
5. Packaging: Pour the finished serum into an opaque bottle or container to protect the light-sensitive ingredients.
6. Storage: Store the serum in the refrigerator for optimal long-term stability.

This formula utilizes NanoRes™ (containing Activated Resorcinol) and Tranexamic Acid, known for their efficacy in reducing hyperpigmentation and blemishes. MelaninTerminate™ works through a different pathway to inhibit melanin production, while AEPWhite™ acts as a stabilizer and enhances the whitening effect.
