Question

I am formulating a serum for 50-year-old oily skin with sagging, wrinkles, and dark spots. I plan to use the following ingredients:

  • Panthenol (Vitamin B5) ExtraLite™
  • Sodium PCA 50%
  • Sodium Lactate (60% Liquid)

Could you please advise on the compatibility and suitability of these ingredients for my intended formula and skin type? I also need guidance on the appropriate usage percentage for each ingredient, especially considering the oily skin type.

Answer

Hello,

Thank you for your question. To accurately check the compatibility and suitability of all the ingredients you plan to use in a serum for 50-year-old oily skin with sagging, wrinkles, and dark spots, it is necessary to know the usage percentage of each ingredient. This information has been requested by the staff.

As the staff mentioned earlier, some ingredients like Panthenol (Vitamin B5) ExtraLite™, Sodium PCA 50%, and Sodium Lactate (60% Liquid) might not be very necessary for oily skin. If you wish to include them, they should be used at a very low percentage (0.5-1.0%) to avoid a sticky or heavy feeling on the skin.

Without clear percentage information, it is difficult to confirm if all the ingredients you listed are compatible or if there are too many for a single formulation.

Please provide the intended usage percentage for each ingredient you plan to use so that we can give you more specific and appropriate advice for your formula.
