Answer

Serum Formulation for Dry, Sensitive, Aging Skin

Here is a simple serum formulation combining Ceramide, Vitamin C, and Hyaluronic Acid, suitable for dry, sensitive skin aged 40 and above.

Ingredients:

  • Hyaluronic Acid Gel Base: 91%
  • Ceracare™ Liposome-3: 5%
  • Ethyl Ascorbic Acid: 3%
  • Mild Preserved™ COS: 1%

Instructions:

  1. Weigh the Hyaluronic Acid Gel Base into a clean container.
  2. Add the Ceracare™ Liposome-3 to the gel base and mix gently until evenly dispersed.
  3. Add the Ethyl Ascorbic Acid and mix until fully dissolved. Note that Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is most stable in a pH range of 3.5-6.0. The Hyaluronic Acid Gel Base and Mild Preserved™ COS should help maintain a suitable pH.
  4. Add the Mild Preserved™ COS and mix thoroughly.
  5. Transfer the serum into a clean bottle or container.

How to Use:

Apply a few drops of the serum to clean, dry skin morning and/or evening before applying cream or lotion.

Ingredient Benefits:

  • Hyaluronic Acid Gel Base: Provides intense hydration to the skin's surface and deeper layers, helping to plump the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
  • Ceracare™ Liposome-3: A ceramide complex that helps restore the skin's natural barrier, reducing dryness and sensitivity, and improving overall skin health.
  • Ethyl Ascorbic Acid: A stable form of Vitamin C that helps brighten the skin, reduce dark spots, stimulate collagen production, and provide antioxidant protection.
  • Mild Preserved™ COS: A broad-spectrum preservative to prevent microbial growth and ensure the stability and safety of the serum.

Storage:

Store the finished serum in a cool place, away from direct sunlight. Using an opaque bottle is recommended to protect the Vitamin C.

This formulation is designed to be gentle and hydrating, addressing the needs of dry, sensitive, aging skin.
