Question
How can I formulate a shaving cream for whiskers/beard using a cream base, incorporating Polyglide™ for slip, and adding fragrance? What is the recommended percentage for Polyglide™, and should it be added using heat?
Answer
Based on the staff's recommendation, you can create a shaving cream formulation that allows for fragrance by starting with any cream base.
To give the cream the necessary glide for shaving, you should add Polyglide™ at a recommended rate of 3.5%. Polyglide™ needs to be dissolved using heat into your prepared cream base.
Fragrance can be added to this cream base as you normally would.
