Answer
Simple Mineral Bath Formula for Spa Use
Creating a simple mineral bath salt for spa use is easy and primarily involves using different types of mineral-rich salts.
Popular Main Ingredients
- Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate): The most popular choice, known for helping to relax muscles.
- Sea Salt: Such as Dead Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt, contains various minerals beneficial for the skin.
Basic Formula (Approximate Ratio)
You can mix these salts in your desired ratio or use just one type.
- Epsom Salt: 50-100%
- Sea Salt: 0-50%
Instructions:
- Combine Epsom salt and/or sea salt in a dry container.
- If you want to add fragrance, you can add a small amount of Fragrance Oil or Essential Oil suitable for skin use (about 0.5 - 1% of the salt weight). Mix thoroughly.
- If you want to add color, you can use a small amount of water-soluble cosmetic-grade colorant. Mix thoroughly.
- Store in an airtight container to protect from moisture.
How to Use:
Add about 1/2 cup to 1 cup (or more depending on the tub size) of the mineral bath mixture into a warm bath. Stir to dissolve the salts before soaking.
This formula is a basic guideline. You can adjust the ratio or add other ingredients such as dried flower petals, carrier oils (like coconut oil, almond oil), or various extracts suitable for bath use.
