Can Vitamin C be applied directly to the face?

Pure Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), such as Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) (Fine), can be mixed with water and applied to the face. However, it must be mixed at an appropriate concentration (recommended 10-15%, not exceeding this) and ideally in small batches for immediate use, as pure Vitamin C is unstable when dissolved in water and degrades quickly. You should study the information and mixing methods thoroughly before use. Other more stable forms of Vitamin C like MAP, SAP, Perfect-C™, or Ethyl Ascorbic Acid are easier to formulate and more stable.
