Answer
Hello, I understand your concerns about very oily skin, occasional hormonal acne during menstruation, and minor dark spots. The staff has reviewed the formula you proposed and provided additional recommendations.
Summary of staff recommendations:
- Acne: Acne occurring during menstruation is often hormonal. Treatment with medication under medical supervision (such as oral contraceptives or Vitamin A derivatives) is typically more effective. Cosmetics can help reduce oiliness, but their effect on hormonal acne is limited.
- Cleansing: Your current cleanser might be too harsh, causing the skin to feel dry or tight after washing, which stimulates the skin to produce more oil to compensate. It is recommended to use a milder product or try diluting your current cleanser. Your skin should not feel dry or tight after cleansing; it should feel slightly slippery.
- Skincare Formula: The staff has recommended adjusting your proposed formula into separate day and night formulas.
- Day Formula:
- B3 5%
- MSM 3%
- Licorice 1%
- Zinc PCA 1%
- L-Carnitine 3%
- Rice Vitamin 2%
- B6 2%
- AnyGel 1% (to create gel texture)
- Reservoir-Tech 3% (to enhance penetration)
- Mild Preserved Eco 1% (preservative)
- Distilled Water remaining amount
- Night Formula: Use the same base ingredients as the day formula and add BioSulphur 3-5% and Green Tea Extract 1-3%.
- Day Formula:
- Mixing Steps: It is recommended to mix AnyGel with distilled water first until a gel is formed, then gradually add other ingredients and stir until combined.
I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
