คำถาม

I am currently receiving acne treatment at a clinic, which includes laser (magic light), monthly visits for acne procedures (extraction, inflammatory acne injection, facial detox). I also use 7 products provided by the clinic: a pre-wash cleanser, face wash gel, a clear liquid applied after washing, moisturizer, inflammatory acne spot treatment, and sunscreen.

Despite treatment, my face hasn't improved much. Acne has decreased, but redness and dark spots haven't reduced. I still get about 10 inflammatory pimples a month, and clogged pores persist.

Could you please recommend a complete set of products for me, including face wash, moisturizer, cleanser (pre-wash), and sunscreen?

  • Budget: Around 5000 THB (slightly flexible)
  • I usually sleep late, around midnight every night.
  • I mostly work in an air-conditioned office but am exposed to the sun frequently.
  • My face feels very oily in the evening.
  • Photos of my skin are provided via the links.

Skincare Routine Recommendation for Acne-Prone Skin

Based on your description of persistent acne, redness, dark spots, and oiliness, along with your lifestyle (sleeping late, spending time in air-conditioned office but exposed to sun), here is a suggested skincare routine focusing on gentle cleansing, targeted treatment, oil-free hydration, and sun protection.

This routine aims to complement your current clinic treatment by providing supportive home care products.

Suggested Routine:

  1. Cleansing (Morning & Evening): Use a gentle cleanser containing Salicylic Acid to help with acne and oil control without stripping the skin.

    • Recommended Product: Renewing SA Cleanser (Compare to Cerave, 2.0% Salicylic Acid)
  2. Treatment (Morning & Evening): Apply a serum specifically designed to reduce post-acne marks and improve skin clarity.

    • Recommended Product: Pro Acne Solution Post-Acne Marks Reduction (Compare Eucerin)
  3. Moisturizing (Morning & Evening): Use an oil-free moisturizer to provide hydration without clogging pores or adding to oiliness. Look for products that help balance the skin.

    • Recommended Product: Glass Moist™ (Oil-Free Glass Skin, 3 Day Fast Action)
  4. Sun Protection (Morning): Apply a lightweight, high-SPF sunscreen daily, even when mostly indoors, as UV rays can penetrate windows and worsen redness and dark spots. Reapply if exposed to direct sun for extended periods.

    • Recommended Product: Fluid Light Sunscreen (Compare to Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk N SPF50+/PA++++)

Additional Tip:

  • For stubborn clogged pores, you could consider using a peel-off mask periodically.
    • Recommended Product: Mask acne (Acne Pore Pack, Base / No Color)

This routine focuses on managing oiliness, reducing inflammation and redness, fading dark spots, and preventing new breakouts while providing essential hydration and sun protection. Remember that consistency is key, and it may take time to see significant improvements. Continue following your clinic's advice and treatments as well.
