Question
The website states that Activated Resorcinol™ (4-Butylresorcinol) dissolves in LipidSoft (or any oil). I would like to know if I can use 1,3-Propanediol or Fractionated Coconut Oil instead of LipidSoft.
Answer
Solubility of Activated Resorcinol
Activated Resorcinol is soluble in oil. The product description confirms it can be dissolved in LipidSoft or any type of oil.
- Fractionated Coconut Oil: Yes, Fractionated Coconut Oil is an oil (specifically a triglyceride) and is suitable for dissolving Activated Resorcinol.
- 1,3-Propanediol: No, 1,3-Propanediol is a water-soluble ingredient and is not suitable for dissolving Activated Resorcinol.
