Question

I want to use Activated Resorcinol in a formula containing Pitera. Activated Resorcinol needs to be dissolved in oil, but Pitera is water-based. How can I incorporate Activated Resorcinol into this formula?

Also, can I add Disodium EDTA to a formula containing Pitera?

Answer

Based on the staff's reply:

  • Activated Resorcinol (product ID 493) needs to be dissolved in oil. Since Pitera (product ID 357) is water-based, the staff recommends using Activated Resorcinol S, which is water-soluble.
  • You can add Disodium EDTA (product ID 184) to your formula. Adding it will not have any negative effects on Pitera (product ID 357). The staff reply indicates that adding Disodium EDTA is permissible and safe for Pitera.
