Question

Could you please advise on the usage percentage for Soy Extract? Also, are Snail Secretion Filtrate and Nanowhite available for retail purchase? I am currently using other brightening agents like Arbutin, Vitamin C, and Niacinamide and want to understand if adding Soy Extract will contribute significantly more to skin whitening.

Answer

Soy Extract (Isoflavone)

Based on the information available, Soy Extract (isoflavone) has several beneficial properties for the skin:

  • Reduces Irritation: It has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness.
  • Increases Moisture: It can enhance the skin's barrier function, helping to reduce moisture loss and keep the skin hydrated.
  • Protection from External Factors: It has antioxidant properties that protect the skin from free radical damage, which can be caused by external factors like UV exposure.

Usage Percentage:

According to the staff's reply in the conversation, Soy Extract can be used at a concentration of 1-5%.

Regarding your concern about not wanting a whitening effect while using other brightening agents (Arbutin, Vitamin C, Niacinamide), please note that Soy Extract itself has Skin Brightening properties. This is an inherent characteristic of the ingredient. Therefore, even when used within the recommended range, it may still contribute to a brighter skin tone, especially in combination with the other ingredients you are using.
