Question

I have two questions regarding ingredients:

  1. Natural oil storage: Can natural oils, specifically avocado oil, be stored in the refrigerator? I'm concerned about spoilage due to the hot room temperature (30-35°C).
  2. Encapsulated BHA handling: Can Encapsulated BHA be processed using a high-speed blender? Will this process cause the encapsulation to be lost or damaged?

Answer

Regarding your questions:

  1. Can natural oils like avocado oil be refrigerated?
Yes, storing natural oils in the refrigerator can extend their shelf life, especially in hot environments (30-35°C). However, refrigeration might cause the oil to solidify or form sediment. If this happens, let the oil return to room temperature before use until the sediment or solidification disappears.

  2. Can Encapsulated BHA be used with a high-speed blender?
Using a high-speed blender can damage the encapsulation. It is recommended to blend at a speed not exceeding 1000 RPM. Also, avoid using heat, as it will also damage the capsules.
