Temperature Sensitivity and Storage Requirements for Tannin

Question

Does `Tannin` require temperature control?

Answer

For products containing Tannin (Tannic Acid), temperature control is necessary both during formulation and storage:

  1. During Mixing:

    • Avoid Heat: Tannic acid should be dissolved in water at room temperature or cold water only. Do not use heat to dissolve it, as high temperatures can cause the ingredient to degrade or change color.
    • For instance, both DeoMax™ Powder and PoreNin™ strictly require avoiding heat during the mixing process.
  2. Storage:

    • It is recommended to store the material in a cool place (ideally 4-8°C for long-term storage).
    • Keep it away from direct light and moisture to maintain its stability and efficacy.
