Erythrulose (EasyTan™) Usage

Erythrulose, such as EasyTan™, works by itself to create a tanning effect on the skin through a reaction with amino acids in the epidermis. This results in a color change that lasts for several days.

While it works alone, Erythrulose is often used in combination with DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) in self-tanning formulations. Using both ingredients together can help achieve a more natural-looking tan tone (Erythrulose tends to produce a black tone, while DHA gives a brown tone). Additionally, Erythrulose acts as a moisturizer, which is beneficial as DHA can sometimes dry out the skin.

Therefore, you can use Erythrulose by itself, but combining it with DHA is a common practice for enhanced results.
