Using PiteraEx in Water Essence: Efficacy and Formulation Advice

Using PiteraEx™ (Saccharomyces Lysate Extract) at 2% is within the effective range (0.1-2.8%) recommended for expecting clear results. The description notes that 1.0% is often sufficient, but 2% can also be used. Be aware that using a higher percentage like 2% might introduce a slight odor to the final product. So, 2% is effective on its own for anti-aging and wrinkle reduction benefits.

To enhance the efficacy of your water essence, you can add other ingredients depending on the specific skin concerns you want to address:

• For enhanced anti-aging and repair: Consider adding Repair Activator™ WS (Bifida Ferment Lysate). This ingredient is known to help repair skin DNA damage, which complements the revitalizing effects of PiteraEx™.
• For microbiome balance, hydration, and barrier support: MYFerment™ Balance (Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate) is another yeast ferment that supports the skin's beneficial microbiota, improves hydration, and strengthens the skin barrier. It can work synergistically with PiteraEx™.
• For gentle exfoliation and barrier support: MYFerment™ Exfo (Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate) provides mild exfoliation by promoting healthy cell turnover, while also supporting the skin barrier. This can help improve skin texture and clarity.
• For overall skin health, barrier, and tone: Safe-B3™ (Niacinamide) is a versatile ingredient that improves skin barrier function, reduces redness, helps with pores, and can improve skin tone. It pairs well with fermented ingredients.

Mixing Instructions:

For a water essence formulation, you will typically have a water phase.

1. Prepare your water phase, including water and any water-soluble ingredients that require heating (if any).
2. Heat the water phase if necessary for dissolving ingredients, then let it cool down to below 40°C (ideally room temperature).
3. Add heat-sensitive ingredients like PiteraEx™ (Saccharomyces Lysate Extract), Repair Activator™ WS, MYFerment™ Balance, MYFerment™ Exfo, and Safe-B3™ to the cooled water phase.
4. Stir or blend gently until everything is fully dissolved and mixed.
5. Add your preservative system according to the manufacturer's instructions.
6. Adjust pH if necessary (check the recommended pH range for all ingredients used).
7. Pour into your container.
