Question

I made a reed diffuser liquid using ethyl alcohol, but it separated. I would like to ask if this separated mixture can still be used with an aroma diffuser machine?

Answer

Regarding your reed diffuser mixture that separated and uses ethyl alcohol, this type of mixture is generally not suitable for use in aroma diffuser machines.

Reed diffuser liquids typically contain carrier bases or solvents (like DPG or others) and possibly alcohol, which are different from what aroma diffusers are designed to use.

Using this mixture in an aroma diffuser machine can cause clogging, damage to the machine, or other problems.

Aroma diffuser machines mostly use pure essential oils or fragrance oils, sometimes diluted with water (for ultrasonic types).

Therefore, the mixture you made for the reed diffuser should not be used in an aroma diffuser machine.

The separation issue in your reed diffuser mixture might indicate incompatibility between ingredients, which is another problem to solve for the reed diffuser liquid itself.
