Waterproof Sunscreen with Foundation Formula (Smooth Texture)

This example formula is a Water-in-Oil type, which helps provide waterproofing and includes foundation ingredients for the desired cream texture.

Ingredients

• Water-in-Oil EZ™: 3%
• SPF Protect Ultra™ II: 5%
• Polyethylene Wax (Soft type): 2%
• LipidSoft™ Disperse: 5%
• Silk Mica Powder: 20%
• Beige Iron Oxides EasyMix™: 1%
• Titanium Dioxide 200nm EasyDisperse™: 3%
• Mild Preserved Eco™: 1%
• Water: Remaining part (50%)

Mixing Instructions

1. Mix the powders: Silk Mica Powder, Beige Iron Oxides EasyMix™, and Titanium Dioxide 200nm EasyDisperse™ together.
2. Heat the oil phase (Water-in-Oil EZ™, SPF Protect Ultra™ II, Polyethylene Wax, LipidSoft™ Disperse, Mild Preserved Eco™) to 85°C and the water phase to a similar temperature of about 80-85°C.
3. While blending the oil phase, slowly add the water phase until the cream is fully formed. Turn off the heat.
4. While the cream is still blending, gradually add the prepared powder mixture from step 1 into the cream. Blend until fully combined.
