I am trying to make a gel (potentially a mosquito repellent gel, based on context). I plan to use Glycerin as the base gel and add a preservative and acidic ingredients. 1. How long will the resulting gel be stable? 2. Is this method feasible? 3. Should I use a different gelling agent instead, such as AnyGel (Dehydroxanthan Gum)? Thank you.

I have a question about formulating with Powdered Royal Jelly Extract (Acnebee - สารสกัดนมผึ้ง). The Royal Jelly Extract I previously bought was liquid, but this one is a powder. I tried using it in a formula I made before, but it dissolves initially and then turns back into a powder when mixed. Here is the formula I used: * Royal Jelly 0.5% * Preservative 1 % * Water * Vit B5 2% * B3 5% * Proprymer 0.7% * white oil 1.5% When I dissolved the Royal Jelly in the white oil and then mixed it with all the ingredients in the water phase, it turned into small particles, like it didn't dissolve. The old liquid version was easy, but I can't get this powdered one to work. Is there a suggested mixing method for this?

I plan to make a balm using unrefined shea butter. I will heat the shea butter until it melts and then add the following ingredients: * Palmitamide MEA 5% * Tea Tree Oil 1% * Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate 1.5% * Menthone Glycerin Acetal (amount unknown) My questions are: 1. Will heating the shea butter dissolve the Palmitamide MEA? 2. What percentage of Menthone Glycerin Acetal should I use to achieve a cooling sensation similar to 3% Menthol in some very cool balms (like cooling massage balms)? 3. After cooling down, will the shea butter mixture solidify back into a solid form, or will it remain liquid?

Regarding formulating a liquid for compressed sheet masks: * What factors should be considered when formulating this liquid? * How does this mask liquid differ from essences or serums? Why is it called a mask? Is it simply more concentrated, or is it essentially the same as a serum or essence? And regarding sleeping masks: * Are they just regular night creams? * What are the specific differences?
