Based on the clear lip formula below (using Oil Stick™ Hard together with Oil Stick™ Medium for clarity), what can be used to replace Squalene? The formula is: Oil Stick™ Hard 1%, Oil Stick™ Medium 2%, Octyldodecanol 20% (helps increase lip pay-off, adheres to lip skin), LipidSoft™ Disperse 17% (helps dissolve/disperse color powder, adheres to lip skin), Water-soluble color ____ % (use as needed for desired shade), Squalene remaining percentage to make up 100% (provides lip glossiness).
I would like to review two cosmetic formulations: 1. **Acne Treatment:** A formula for acne and clogged pores with the following ingredients: * Acacia Salicylic Acid (Timed Release Water-Soluble Powder) 3% * Natural Betaine 3% * Calendula Extract (Water Soluble) 5% * Disodium EDTA 0.2% * Skin-Barrier™ (Skin Barrier Restoration) 10% * Peppermint Water (rest) I want the texture to be liquid but slightly viscous, similar to Hada Labo. I am concerned that the high percentage of ingredients might affect the texture. Should I replace Skin-Barrier™ with L-Carnosine 1% or reduce the amount of some ingredients? Peppermint Water contains a preservative, so I did not add one, but should I add another preservative? 2. **Lightweight Nourishing Formula:** A formula with a lightweight texture for nourishment with the following ingredients: * Dimethyl Isosorbide (DMI) 3% * Repair Activator™ Powder (Bifida Ferment Lysate) 1% * EGT-Max™ (Ergothioneine 0.3%) 1% * Ectoine (from Bio-fermentation) 2% * Ultrasomes Micrococcus Lysate 1% * Mild Preserved Eco™ (Preservative-Free) 1% * Water (rest) I want the texture to be similar to the first formula, a slightly viscous water that can be patted onto the skin.

Are this formula and mixing procedure correct?
My friend/relative has suffered from severe acne since mid-2020, using both topical and oral medications from a clinic. When they stopped the oral medication, the acne returned. They received many tubes of topical medication from the clinic but were inconsistent with application, and the acne didn't improve. They even asked if they could squeeze all the tubes into their hand, mix them together, and apply it all at once. (I told them not to do this). So, I decided to try making an acne treatment gel for them. Their skin condition before using the gel was severe at times, with the chin being very inflamed, red, and swollen (I didn't take photos of the worst state). Photos provided show the condition before starting the gel and after 2.5 months of use. They still have acne and need continued treatment, but it's much better than before. The formula used is: Aloe Vera Gel (Lite) 73% Encapsulated Salicylic Acid (Powder, Timed-Release) 4% Copper PCA 1% Ectoine 2% Prebio-care (Skin Prebiotic) 3% AminoMatte™ (Sarcosine) 5% Zinc PCA 1% Tea Tree Oil (Water Soluble) 2% Licorice Extract (Licochalcone A 1%) 2% beta glucan 5% Laurocapram (Water Soluble) 2% They have been applying this gel morning and evening continuously for 2.5 months, starting in June. In June, it was used alongside clinic topical medications and 14 days of oral medication. From July until now, only this gel formula has been used, and no oral medication. Using Copper PCA in this gel formula made the Aloe Vera Gel (Lite) base softer (I knew this beforehand). The texture feels a bit sticky upon application, and the tea tree oil scent is noticeable. Results after using continuously morning and evening for 2.5 months: - Inflammatory acne and skin inflammation significantly reduced. - Skin is less oily. - Still have dark and red marks from old acne. - New pimples heal faster. I would like to share this experience and formula, and ask for any feedback or validation on the formula and results.
I want to compare Retinal (Retinaldehyde) with ActiveRelease Retinal™. Could you please tell me: 1. What percentage of Retinaldehyde is in ActiveRelease Retinal™? 2. What percentage of ActiveRelease Retinal™ is equivalent to 0.1% Retinaldehyde?
