What ingredients and method are needed to make powder blush pressable and not easily broken?
Hello, I am planning to mix a water essence for normal to dry skin based on a formula previously provided by staff: 1. Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate (Pitera) - Remaining portion to reach 100% 2. Double Hyaluron Liquid - 5% (Replacing Hyaluronic Acid Standard/Nano which is powder form and harder to use) 3. Vitamin B3, Niacinamide (Safe-B3™) - 5% 4. Phenoxyethanol SA - 0.2% (Reduced from 1% because Pitera used in large quantity already contains preservative from the manufacturer) 5. Vitamin B5 - 1% 6. Ethoxydiglycol - 5% (Helps skin absorb ingredients better) 7. Flora Solve Clear - 1% (Helps the formula adhere better to the skin) I would like to know: 1. Should the mixture be stored in the refrigerator? 2. How is the shelf life of this water essence determined (which ingredient's expiry date)? 3. Can ingredient #4 (Phenoxyethanol SA) be omitted?
Based on the following ingredients, I have reverse-engineered a formula and have all the ingredients available: Water\Aqua\Eau, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol. My proposed mixing steps are: 1. Water soluble part: Water + Butylene Glycol + Hexylene Glycol + Caprylyl Glycol (1,2-Octanediol) + Phenoxyethanol (Extra Low Phenol) 2. Create gel texture with remaining parts: Xanthan Gum + Glycerin + step 1) I am unsure about the Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract and how it should be mixed. I see two options available. I would like assistance with the mixing procedure, including the approximate percentage to use for each ingredient. If any ingredients should be changed to be more suitable, please advise. Regarding the preservative system, since the product is for the eye area, can I switch to Polyaminopropyl Biguanide instead? Thank you.

Hello, I would like to make an organic stick lipstick (without chemical products). The intended ingredients are: * Mica Powder * Beeswax * Coconut Oil * Cocoa Butter * Essential Oil I have some questions: 1. Is there a difference between Beeswax white and yellow when mixing? 2. I read in the details for Beeswax that to make a stick lipstick, I need to add Polyethylene Wax (Hard), Polyethylene Wax (Soft), and Microcrystalline Wax (Refined). Are these necessary? 3. Do I need to add anything else besides these (only natural products, please)? 4. Which Essential Oil should I use? Please recommend one. 5. What should the proportions be? Thank you very much.
I would like to ask about the preservative Mild Preserved Eco (Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol) for use in a facial spray formula. Will it cause eye irritation? Or would you recommend Eye Preserved (Polyaminopropyl Biguanide) instead? I like that Mild Preserved Eco also helps retain moisture, as I want the spray to help nourish the skin. I am also interested in natural preservatives, but I want the properties mentioned: * No eye irritation or stinging * Helps retain moisture Please recommend the most suitable option. Thank you.

I have the following formula and would like advice on achieving a liquid serum texture, emulsification, ingredient dissolution, and texture adjustment without silicones: **Formula:** * Water: q.s. to 100% * EDTA: 0.2% * Coffee Extract: 3% * Tranexamic Acid: 3% * 4MSK: 3% * Satin Cream Maker: 0.5% * Fractionated Coconut Oil: 3% * LHA: 1% * MSH White: 2% * Activated Resorcinol: 1% * Perfect C: 5% * Tocotrienol: 0.5% * Milk Thistle: 1% * Microcare: 1% **Mixing Procedure:** 1. Combine Water, EDTA, Coffee Extract, Tranexamic Acid, 4MSK, and Satin Cream Maker. Stir until combined. 2. Combine Fractionated Coconut Oil and LHA. Use heat to help dissolve. 3. Add MSH White (powder), Activated Resorcinol, Perfect C, Tocotrienol, and Milk Thistle to the oil phase mixture. Stir until combined. 4. Add the oil phase mixture to the water phase. Stir until combined. 5. Add Microcare. **Specific Questions:** * I want a liquid whitening serum texture. Is 0.5% Satin Cream Maker sufficient to emulsify and stabilize the formula, given the relatively high oil phase? I haven't formulated a serum with this much oil before. * Do I need to use Fractionated Coconut Oil to dissolve the oil-soluble ingredients (specifically LHA)? Is 3% sufficient? * With this total oil phase percentage, will the texture be greasy? How should I adjust the texture to be light and non-greasy without using silicones? * If I use alcohol to help with texture, what is the maximum percentage I should use? My skin type is combination, dull, with freckles and dark spots from acne. Please advise on any other necessary adjustments to the formula. Thank you.
