I would like to make my own effective acne spot treatment at home. Could you please provide information on the necessary ingredients and the method for making it?
I'm looking for recommendations for permanent hair dye ingredients. I can barely find any right now. I need black and dark brown colors.
I am formulating a lip gloss focused on nourishing lips for plumpness, reducing dryness and cracking, and reducing wrinkles to make them look healthy and full. The proposed formula is as follows: Ingredient 100% 1. Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline (DPHP) 2% 2. HyaOil™ (Oil-Dispersed Hyaluronic Acid) 2% 3. DMAE (SkinTight MD™) Liquid 3% 4. Wrinkle-Fill™ (Acetyl-L-Tyrosine) 2% 5. Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5, DL-Panthenol, Powder) 3% 6. HyaOil™ (Oil-Dispersed Hyaluronic Acid) 1% 7. Vitamin E (dl-alpha tocopherol) 1% 8. Tamanu Oil (Pure Virgin) 25% 9. Tea (Camellia oleifera) Seed Oil (Refined) 5% 10. Cocoa Absolute 1% 11. Oil Film (Long-Wear) 5% 12. Vinyl Film (Medium Wear, Soft) 10% 13. Polyglyceryl-2 isostearate/dimer dilinoleate copolymer 40% Based on this formula, I have the following questions: 1. Are the ingredients compatible? 2. Are there any missing ingredients needed for the formula to be functional? 3. If I want a clear, colorless lip gloss, should I remove any ingredients or how should I adjust the formula? 4. What types of packaging does the company offer for lip gloss products?
I am trying to make lotion myself based on research, but when I emulsified it, it seems like the ingredients did not mix well. The total batch size is 250g. The ingredients are as follows: 1. Distilled Water 71% (177.5g) 2. Glycerin 2% (5g) 3. Extra Virgin Olive Oil 8% (20g) 4. Stearic Acid 3% (7.5g) 5. Poly sugar mulse d9 (Sorbitan Oleate DecylGlucoside Crosspolymer) 2% (5g) 6. Chamomile Extract 1% (2.5g) 7. Arnica Extract 3% (7.5g) 8. Seaweed Extract 2% (5g) 9. Aloe Vera Extract (liquid) 3% (7.5g) 10. Vitamin E Acetate 3% (7.5g) 11. Essential Oil 1% (2.5g) 12. Mild Preservative Eco (Ethylhexylglycerin and Propanediol) 1% (2.5g) The process I followed is: 1. Heat Distilled Water to 70-80°C, remove from heat, and add Glycerin. 2. Heat Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Stearic Acid, and Poly sugar mulse d9 to 70-80°C. 3. Combine the water from step 1 with the oil phase from step 2 and emulsify until the temperature is below 40°C (it mixed into something like milky water, not thick lotion). 4. Weigh and add the extracts from items 6-10 and emulsify until combined. At this point, it started separating into a milky water part and a thicker, floating part. 5. Add the essential oil and preservative. The final result is a thick part floating on top and a milky water part below. What step did I do incorrectly? Thank you.
How do we know how much Phospholipid (Hydrogenated Lecithin) to use that will be sufficient for encapsulating active ingredients?
Hello, could you please review the following ingredient list? The focus is on skin barrier health, soft/hydrated/bright skin, and acne reduction, with a non-sticky and non-filmy feel upon application. The active ingredients are: Repair Activator powder 1%, PiteraEx 1%, VersaMoist 2%, MOIST24 5%, Yeast Radient 3%, Tranexamic Acid 3%, 4MSK 3%, Zince PCA 1%, totaling 19% actives. I would like to know if this combination is feasible when combined with White Jelly 52% and DI Water 30%. If I want to achieve the following product types with specific textures: 1. Essence: watery, clear, non-filmy texture, used as the first step. 2. Serum: liquid texture, focusing on hydration, non-filmy. 3. Sleeping Mask: cream-gel texture, hydrating, not heavy on the face, non-filmy. Which base (White Jelly, DI Water, and potentially other ingredients) should I use, and at what percentages, when combined with the selected actives, to achieve these desired textures?

I am making a hair serum formula using Cyclotetrasiloxane 55G + Hair Silk 30G. I used SiliSolve 5g as the emulsifier to combine water and oil (for a 400g formula). However, when I made it, the formula did not combine; it separated into layers. How can I fix this?

Also, I would like to suggest that the company consider importing vegan Lactic Acid (like the one The Ordinary uses, derived from Tasmanian Pepperberry).
