Product Description:
Used as a catalyst in organic synthesis, particularly in hydrofluorination and fluorination reactions where controlled release of fluoride is required. Serves as a precursor in the preparation of other cobalt fluoride compounds and cobalt-based materials. Applied in electroplating baths to deposit cobalt-fluorine alloy coatings with enhanced wear and corrosion resistance. Utilized in the production of specialty glasses and ceramics that require fluoride sources with transition metal ions for color or functional properties. Also investigated for use in lithium-ion battery electrode materials due to cobalt’s redox activity and fluoride ion conductivity in solid-state systems.
