Product Description:
Used as a deoxidizer and desulfurizer in the steel and aluminum industries to improve metal purity and mechanical properties. Acts as a boron additive in molten metal processes due to its high boron content and stability at elevated temperatures. Employed in the production of boride-based ceramics and refractory materials for high-temperature applications. Utilized in some thermoelectric materials and as a precursor in the synthesis of other borides. Also found in certain types of cermets and wear-resistant coatings. Shows potential in neutron shielding applications because of boron’s high neutron absorption cross-section.
