Used in research to inhibit the interaction between PDEδ and farnesylated KRAS, a protein involved in cancer signaling pathways. Particularly studied in pancreatic, lung, and colorectal cancers where mutant KRAS drives tumor growth. Helps disrupt the proper localization of KRAS to the cell membrane, thereby reducing its oncogenic activity.
