Used as a potent inhibitor of Janus kinase 2 (JAK2), particularly effective in targeting the JAK2V617F mutation associated with myeloproliferative disorders. It shows strong activity in reducing abnormal cell proliferation in bone marrow, making it a candidate for treating conditions like polycythemia vera and myelofibrosis.
