Product Description:
GSK J1 is a selective inhibitor of the histone demethylase JMJD3 (KDM6B) and UTX (KDM6A), enzymes involved in epigenetic regulation. It is widely used in research to study gene expression controlled by histone methylation, particularly H3K27me3 marks. By inhibiting demethylation, GSK J1 helps maintain repressive chromatin states, allowing scientists to probe the role of these epigenetic modifiers in cell differentiation, inflammation, and cancer development. It has shown potential in studies of leukemia and other cancers where JMJD3 is overexpressed, helping to suppress oncogenic gene expression. Additionally, GSK J1 is used in stem cell research to modulate differentiation pathways and maintain pluripotency. Its application is primarily limited to in vitro and preclinical models due to ongoing development for therapeutic use.
