Used primarily as a soft monomer in acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives, providing excellent flexibility and tack. Commonly found in medical tapes, transdermal patches, and skin-contact adhesives due to its low irritation potential and good skin adhesion. Also used in coatings and sealants where UV resistance and weatherability are important. Its hydrophobic nature makes it suitable for water-resistant formulations.
