Product Description:
Used in combination with a xanthine oxidase inhibitor (such as allopurinol or febuxostat) for the treatment of hyperuricemia associated with gout. It works by inhibiting uric acid reabsorption in the kidneys, thereby increasing uric acid excretion and lowering serum uric acid levels. This helps in the management of gout by preventing uric acid buildup that leads to joint inflammation and tophi formation. Not intended for use in patients with asymptomatic hyperuricemia or as monotherapy. Requires careful monitoring for renal function due to risk of kidney-related adverse effects.
