Product Description:
Used as a catalyst in the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process to convert syngas (a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen) into liquid hydrocarbons. It promotes the formation of higher alkanes and olefins with good selectivity. Also investigated for use in electrochemical applications, such as electrode materials in batteries and fuel cells, due to its electrical conductivity and redox activity. Shows potential in hard coating materials when combined with other carbides, enhancing wear resistance in industrial tools.
