Product Description:
Used as a source of fluoride ions in organic synthesis, particularly in nucleophilic fluorination reactions where it replaces chlorine or bromine atoms in organic molecules to form carbon-fluorine bonds. Commonly employed in the preparation of fluoroaromatic compounds, which are important in pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. Acts as a catalyst or reagent in the synthesis of fluoroalkyl compounds, including those used in PET imaging agents. Utilized in the glass etching industry and in metallurgy for flux applications. Also found in some dental products and water treatment processes where controlled fluoride release is needed. Its high solubility in polar solvents makes it suitable for use in aqueous and non-aqueous reaction systems.
