Product Description:
Used as a mordant in textile dyeing to help fix dyes on fabrics, especially in natural fiber processing. Also historically applied in electroplating baths to improve deposit smoothness and hardness. Has been used in some medicinal formulations as an expectorant and in treating parasitic infections, though largely replaced by safer alternatives. In analytical chemistry, serves as a reagent for detecting sodium ions in solution through precipitation reactions.
