Product Description:
Used as a catalyst precursor in homogeneous catalysis, particularly in cross-coupling reactions such as Suzuki-Miyaura and Heck reactions. The complex provides a stable source of palladium(II) that can be reduced in situ to active palladium(0) species. The 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (dppp) ligand enhances catalytic activity by stabilizing the metal center and promoting electron density transfer. Benzobenzonitrile ligands act as labile placeholders, allowing substrate coordination during catalysis. Commonly applied in organic synthesis for forming carbon-carbon bonds in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and fine chemicals. Soluble in polar organic solvents, enabling efficient reaction profiles under mild conditions.
