Product Description:
Used as a reactive brominated flame retardant in polymer formulations, particularly in styrenic plastics like high impact polystyrene (HIPS) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). It chemically bonds into the polymer matrix during polymerization, providing excellent flame resistance without leaching out over time. This makes it ideal for electronics enclosures, wire and cable insulation, and other applications where long-term thermal stability and compliance with fire safety standards are required. Its reactive nature also helps maintain the physical properties of the base polymer compared to additive flame retardants.
