Product Description:
Used primarily as a proton pump inhibitor to reduce gastric acid production. It is effective in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. The compound provides prolonged suppression of acid secretion by targeting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme in the stomach lining. Due to its enantiomeric purity, it offers improved pharmacokinetics and higher efficacy compared to racemic mixtures. Commonly administered orally, it is also used in combination therapies for eradicating Helicobacter pylori.
