Product Description:
Used as a precursor in the production of tungsten metal and tungsten-containing compounds, commonly applied in catalysts for industrial chemical processes, especially in petroleum refining and hydrodesulfurization. Employed in corrosion inhibitors for metals in cooling water systems due to its ability to form protective layers. Applied in electroplating baths to deposit tungsten or tungsten alloys, enhancing wear and corrosion resistance of surfaces. Utilized in research as a source of tungstate ions for studying enzyme inhibition, particularly in phosphate transport and metabolism. Also found in some flame-retardant formulations and as an additive in lubricants to improve thermal stability.
