Product Description:
Used as a precursor in the production of tungsten metal, which is essential for manufacturing high-strength alloys and electrical components. Commonly employed in gas sensors due to its sensitivity to reducing gases like hydrogen and carbon monoxide. Utilized in electrochromic devices, such as smart windows, where it changes color in response to an electric current, helping control light and heat transmission. Acts as a photocatalyst for water splitting and degradation of organic pollutants under light exposure. Added to ceramic glazes and pigments to produce yellow to brown colors with high thermal stability. Investigated for use in lithium-ion batteries as an anode material due to its high theoretical capacity.
