Product Description:
Used as a host material in phosphors for cathode ray tubes and fluorescent lamps, enabling bright red and green emissions. Employed in solid-state lasers, particularly in yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) crystals doped with rare earths for medical and industrial lasers. Serves as a stabilizer for zirconia in high-temperature ceramics, improving thermal shock resistance. Applied in coatings for optical fibers and lenses due to high refractive index and transparency in the visible and near-infrared range. Utilized in electronics as a dielectric material in capacitors and gate insulators in thin-film transistors. Investigated for use in fuel cells and oxygen sensors owing to ionic conductivity at elevated temperatures. Also used in specialty glass to enhance durability and heat resistance.
