I am having trouble dissolving MSH White™ (Undecylenoyl phenylalanine). I tried following the directions by warming the oil, adding MSH White™, and mixing, but it seems to dissolve incompletely. When the oil mixed with MSH White™ is warm/hot, it is liquid, but upon cooling, it becomes lumpy, similar to oil solidifying when refrigerated (but not a solid sheet). I would like to know: 1. What went wrong to cause this result? 2. When mixed into the water phase, it dissolves somewhat but still shows some small pieces. If this happens, is the ingredient completely ineffective, or is its quality just reduced? 3. How can I fix this issue? Both during the dissolution step and when it's already in the formula with small pieces. 4. If I need a whitening ingredient with a similar or complementary mechanism to MSH White™ but is water-soluble, what would you recommend? 5. In a formula, if I use the following whitening ingredients, are any of them redundant or unnecessary? * Lemon Skin™ * MSH White™ * Sym-White™ * Hydro-White™ Thank you in advance.

Based on the description that Bakuchiol has issues with metal ions and should include a chelating agent like Disodium EDTA 0.1% or Phytic Acid for maximum stability: 1. If the formula contains Zinc PCA, will Disodium EDTA bind with the Zinc ion (from Zinc PCA)? 2. Will DMAE have issues with Disodium EDTA / Bakuchiol in the formula?

I have questions about fragrance longevity in shampoo: * If a deodorizing agent is added to a shampoo formula, will it affect the longevity of the Fragrance that is added, making the scent not long-lasting? * If it does have an effect, is it necessary to use more Fragrance or add more Fragrance Fixative? Which is better? * In a standard shampoo formula without added deodorizing agents, using Fragrance 2% together with Fragrance Fixative (Sugar Fix) 2%, the scent is pleasant during washing but doesn't last as long as expected, unlike typical shampoos I've used. How can I make the scent last longer?

I am using Long-Lash at a 5% concentration in my formulation. I am observing white fibrous streaks. Long-Lash is normally a clear liquid. What could be causing this? Is the ingredient spoiled? Based on the expert's response, I understand this might be due to: * Incompatibility with other ingredients (e.g., chelating agents like Disodium EDTA or AHAs such as Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Citric Acid) * Incorrect pH (outside the recommended range of 3.5-5.5) * Mixing method (mixing in water phase, avoiding heat) Could you please elaborate on these potential causes and how to troubleshoot?

I would like to ask about how to store Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide). When storing Vitamin B3 powder at room temperature in a closed container, upon opening, there is a smell similar to something spoiled, or something I'm not sure about, but there is a smell. Is this the natural smell of Vitamin B3, or has it spoiled?

I made a formula at 50% batch size with the following ingredients: * TiO2 liquid 3% * ZnO liquid 3% * isopropyl palmitate 2.5% * Dimethicone 5% * Cetyl Alcohol 0.5% * stearic acid 1.5% * Glyceryl Stearate 1.5% * Silicone Gel 10% * Triethanolamine 0.5% * Propylene Glycol 2% * glydent plus 0.5% * DI Water 18% I tried making it, but the cream texture feels dry and hard to spread. I want to create an essence or pre-serum with a non-sticky texture that feels instantly absorbed into the skin after application (similar texture to Sulwhasoo First Care). The texture should be thicker than water but not as thick as a serum. I plan to use the following ingredients: * PiteraEx (Saccharomyces Lysate Extract) 1% * Hya Japan 1% * Marine Plankton 2% * Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate 1% * Calendula Extract 2% * Glycosaminoglycans 3% * DMAE 5% (Will this amount make the texture sticky? If so, I will reduce it to 3%) * DMI 3% * Water (remaining amount) Which gelling agents or other substances should I use to help the texture absorb into the skin, feel light, non-sticky, and prepare the skin for subsequent serum and cream application, to achieve the desired essence or pre-serum texture?

Please review the following two formulations before proceeding with manufacturing. Both formulas are intended for manufacturing, so the ease of mixing is not a primary concern. The desired texture for both formulas is a liquid gel that can be dispensed from a pump bottle. Regarding `1,2-Hexanediol (Super-Purified, Odorless)`, a solvent that can replace `Propylene Glycol` and `Butylene Glycol`. Experiments show that `1,2-Hexanediol` can help with water-binding (humectant) and has antimicrobial properties, acting as a preservative booster. Can this ingredient be used to replace `Butylene Glycol` for dissolving `Glabridin 40%`?

I would like to ask the following: * Some fragrance components are crystalline powders, such as Coumarin. Can we blend them directly with other scents? (I've seen on foreign forums that they dilute it with DPG first). Please advise on how to use it. * How do Methyl Benzoate and Methyl Benzoate 1% in DPG differ in usage? (The price is the same). * On the ingredient labels of many perfume brands, in addition to Perfume, they also list Benzyl Benzoate and Benzyl Salicylate separately (and sometimes Linalool, Eugenol too). I would like to know what function these ingredients serve, and if we are producing for commercial sale, is it necessary to include them?

Regarding two specific formulas (ingredient lists not provided), please advise: 1. Are these two formulas suitable for acne-prone and sensitive skin? If there are any ingredients that should not be used for acne-prone and sensitive skin, please advise on how to modify the formula and suggest alternative ingredients, including their amounts and mixing instructions. 2. Do these formulas contain ingredients that cause clogging or irritation? 3. Are there any ingredients that are harmful to the skin in the long term? If so, please advise on how to modify the formula and suggest new ingredients that are not harmful to the skin in the long term. 4. For the serum formula, if I want to replace Alpha Arbutin with other whitening ingredients, which alternatives provide excellent whitening efficacy and melanin reduction comparable to or better than Alpha Arbutin? I read on the website that Alpha Arbutin can cause irritation. 5. If Alpha Arbutin is added at more than 2%, what problems can occur with the skin and product texture? 6. If the amount of Alpha Arbutin is increased to 6 percent, is it necessary to increase the preservative? 7. If the amount of Alpha Arbutin is increased to 10 percent, is it necessary to increase the preservative? 8. Regarding the mixing speed for sunscreen and serum, if the mixing speed is too high, will it affect the product or its efficacy?

Slowly add B into A, stir and blend until homogeneous. 5. Add 3 + 4 + 7 + 13 + 14 + 15 + 16 into the resulting cream and blend until homogeneous. My questions are: 1.
