Pro Polymer™ (Gel Maker)

  • Product Code: 234

act as Gel Maker It is highly resistant to Electrolyte and can be used in a wide pH range of 2 - 8. It has a texture similar to the use of Hyaluronic Acid, which gives a sticky feeling in the first 30 seconds of application on the skin. Then the skin is thinly coated. when completely dry

Pro Polymer, a gelling agent have a special effect is by the mechanism of gel formation to have a Polymeric structure

Pro Polymer can be used in scrub formulas that require beads. because it can create a gel texture with high viscosity in order to be able to detain the beads from settling without making the skin sticky

Pro Polymer can create a creamy pudding. (cream or gel texture) that look like pudding) by using in high doses >3%

Pro Polymer has a texture similar to the use of Hyaluronic Acid, which will give a feeling of stickiness in the first 30 seconds of application on the skin. Then the skin is thinly coated. when completely dry

Pro Polymer has good electrolyte resistance.

What is an electrolyte and if there is an electrolyte in the formula what should I do?

An electrolyte is any substance that contains Sodium, Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, such as Sodium Lactate, Sodium PCA, Natural Moisturizing Amino Acids (since it contains Sodium PCA), Zinc PCA Including many natural extracts Because in these natural extracts often contain Sodium/Magnesium/Calcium/Potassium in the plant)

When forming a cream with electrolyte in the formula, the cream will soften (liquidize). The viscosity of the cream can be increased by using Pro Polymer™ in larger amounts (for example, from normal 1% must be increased to 2-3%)

Additional steps In the case of high electrolyte formulations

Let's mix the steps until it's done. By separating the electrolyte ingredients, such as in formulas containing Sodium Lactate, Sodium PCA, Zinc PCA, these ingredients are separated. Don't rely on mixing at any stage. By mixing to get the gel texture completely first. More importantly, Pro Polymer should be used in more quantities than usual. For example, usually use 1% and get the desired thick gel texture. If there is an electrolyte, then add Pro Polymer to 2-3% (depending on the amount of electrolyte mixture used) after the gel is completely formed. Add these electrolyte-containing ingredients to the formula and observe the change in gel texture. If too soft, Pro Polymer can be added later, but if Pro Polymer is added later, melting and gelling will take time. and more spinning energy or people

Use: as a thickener to create a gel texture To the water-based gel formula and create a creamy texture in the water + oil formula.

How to mix: Mix in water (water-phase) by sprinkling the powder over the liquid to increase the viscosity and gently stirring for 3-5 minutes. No need for cooling or heating. Poor people get a smooth, uniform gel texture. should not over spin 2500 rpm Because it will damage the polymer and weaken the formula.

Because Pro Polymer may take time to melt. It is recommended to mix this way. to reduce the use of high power in spinning

1. If the formula contains more than 5% of glycerin or propylene glycol, Pro Polymer should be blended in glycerin or propylene glycol well first and then mixed with water. and blend together

2. In case the formula contains only water keep spinning and then gradually sprinkle it into the formula a little at a time Once dispersed in water, do not continue blending, leave it for 1 day for Pro Polymer to fully absorb water. Then gradually bring it to spin. will be able to dissolve easily

Utilization rate: 0.5-5% (used in increasing amounts when there is more Electrolyte in the formula, recommend 0.8% for general gel texture high level of use The resulting gel will be hard, like a pudding, not suitable for general use.)

Product characteristics: white powder, light weight

Solubility: can dissolve in water

Storage: can be stored at room temperature But close the bottle cap tightly. Then completely covered from sunlight or heat, do not be exposed to moisture. (Please store in the envelope that comes with the moisture-proof envelope) The product has a minimum shelf life of 2 years. The substance will coagulate. which can still be used but it will take much longer to blend or stir to dissolve*
