Application Suitable for leave-on, rinse-off, and wet wipes applications. Effective in formulations containing natural raw materials.
Global Approvals Approved for use up to 2.50% in leave-on and rinse-off formulations in regions such as the EU, USA, ASEAN, China, and MERCOSUR.
Solubility Limited solubility in water (7.5 g/L at 20°C); better solubility in polar solvents (e.g., propylene glycol) and limited solubility in non-polar solvents.
Stability Stable in formulations up to pH 12, resistant to hydrolysis and temperature fluctuations.
Material Compatibility Compatible with materials such as stainless steel, brass, PE, and PVC. Not recommended for use with PC, PET, or ABS.
Challenge Test (Example) 0.50% K940 Preservative was effective against bacteria and yeast in multiple inoculation cycles, maintaining sterility over extended periods.
Recommended Use Level 0.50 – 1.50% in most formulations.
