จากการเปรียบเทียบการใช้ Idebenone ที่อัตรา 0.5% และ 1.0% พบว่า ประสิทธิภาพแตกต่างกันเพียงเล็กน้อยเท่านั้น จึงแนะนำให้ใช้เพียง 0.5% เป็นระดับที่เหมาะสมที่สุด การใช้สูงกว่านี้ไม่คุ้มค่ากับต้นทุนสูตรที่สูงขึ้น แต่ได้ประสิทธิภาพเพิ่มขึ้นเพียงเล็กน้อยเท่านั้น
